DeRozan's not a good passer.

Why is Ross starting

I didn't think the Hawks were this physical. God damn, they have some tough players. Antic is physical, Millsap is smart, and Carroll is solid. 3 key defensive players for the Hawks.

Pacers should NEVER pass the ball to Hibbert on offense, he's become a liability on offense.

Where would the Raps be without Jonas? He's their most important player.

Lol, Nav Bhatia is rocking a Raptors throwback Vince Carter jersey
Jamiry - Wed Apr 23, 2014 2:15 am

Jamiry - Wed Apr 23, 2014 2:19 am
the toronto announcers are brutal, all they do is complain
Jamiry - Wed Apr 23, 2014 2:19 am
and not even in an entertaining way

Great bounce back game by DeRozan. Doesn't look nervous anymore.

What a game by Bradley Beal. Brought the Wizards back right when the Bulls were starting to pull away.

Smh @ myself for picking the Bulls in 7. What was I thinking. Their offense is a struggle. Wizards might sweep.

he's the reason they can match up with any team... and he works so well with both Amire and Patterson. he'll be an all star one day for sure

Sorry, catching up on a whole night of chat. ha. But yes, Antic is my fave guy on the hawks. He plays super hard, can shoot, loves to D up.

'n while I didn't actually hear the announcers for game 1 or 2, I know in game 1 there were some brutally bad calls
User avatar
indiefan23 - Wed Apr 23, 2014 4:12 pm
heh, man, Phuck I know you said it before the game, but it's the Nets that can't match up with Toronto. A 52-30 rebounding advantage is no joke at all. They have no one that can compete on the glass which is a major problem when you are a jump shooting team.

indiefan23 - Wed Apr 23, 2014 4:14 pm
game 1 was a 45-37 advantage. And I mean, both game 1 and 2 Ross was all jitters being young. When he settles down and the raps actually play a complete game it will be blowouts.

LeBron James' 'coasting' on D is him carrying an above average defensive team. So why do you call it coasting? The reality is that everyone who's elite coasts in the NBA. It's what is also known as having another gear you go to in the playoffs and it's what champions are made of

an 82 game season of basketball is just too long and pacing yourself is necessary but it just gets spun negatively. Like that video Shafty made about his shot contests... taht just looks like a guy not biting on shot fakes to me and I'd call it playing defence with your head. It's a big part of why he tops out 2.0 PF/36 minutes in a single season in his career.

And sure he gives up some looks but takes away driving and passing lanes. It worked on KD in the finals too. KD put up 30 on 55% and 39% but was just so much less effective than vs SAS when he averaged 6 dimes on only 2.5 TOs in their 4 straight wins. Compare that to only 1.8 dimes and 4.3 TOs in their four straight losses. Defence is about way more that stopping your man from scoring and way too many people mistake the trees for the forest when they evaluate it.

And the point is that this kind of D is being sold, this year, as 'coasting' and it's bullshit. LeBron has always played that way because fouling jump shooters is a cardinal sin he doesn't commit. KD scored a bit better vs Miami in those finals than vs SAS too, but was totally taken out of his game and it's why they lost. If you only consider points/shots/makes/%s it looks like KD owned them when the exact opposite happened.

yea, Nets have a rebounding problem. Raptors can't guard JJ but it's not like JJ is super aggressive and will exploit that advantage at will. I do think Nets will win the next 2 games at home tho but Nets have glaring weaknesses that gives Toronto a shot

Ha, read an article recently about Nav. Apparently a Raptors legend and well known by NBA players and coaches http://www.nytimes.com/2014/04/21/sport ... share&_r=2

I watched most of the game last night..seemed like Nets' intensity wasn't the same as it was in game 1. And still, they were in it till the end.

Raptors might have a rebounding advantage, but they have no one that can guard Joe Johnson. No one. Pierce is also a tough matchup but he stunk last night.

I thought Kidd did a poor job last night, should've gone to Joe Johnson more. If Joe Johnson posts up it's over. He has plethora of moves, can also get to the line.

I'm predicting the Nets to win the next 2 games at home.

I'm picking all home teams to win tonight - Heat, Spurs, and Rockets.
